This gem of a lavender field is nestled near the North Fork of Long Island in East Marion, NY. It is one of the top six best lavender farms in America, and worthy of a day trip! We drove from NYC which took about 2 hours. The farm is dog friendly so our pug, Bertha, joined us for the day. When we arrived both the English and French lavender fields were in bloom, which only happens for a couple weeks in July. They harvest quickly to make and sell fresh products which you can buy onsite at the gift shop.
Words can’t describe the delicious smell of this farm. Adirondack chairs are dotted throughout the fields allowing visitors to stroll through the rows, taking a seat to enjoy the scenery and snap some beautiful pictures.
Although the farm is lovely, our stay lasted less than an hour, as the heat beat all of us so we headed to the beach.
