Coney Island

It’s a little cold for the beach, but it’s perfect timing for the boardwalk entertainment!

Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park is a family-owned amusement park situated right along the boardwalk in Coney Island, next to Nathan’s. It features 16 kiddie rides, about a dozen family rides and 5 adult rides. To read more about this awesome boardwalk and amusement parks click here:

The High Line

It’s perfect weather to take a stroll along the high line, enjoy the public art and wander the meatpacking district afterwards. The Black Tap is within walking distance and has the BEST milkshakes in NYC. To read about there click here:

Cross the George Washington Bridge

This isn’t a popular as the Brooklyn Bridge but there’s a fantastic park at the end in NJ that makes this bridge walk worth it!  To read more about this click here:

Rye Playland

Rye Playland is a classic, it has a nice large section for little ones and a decent assortment for older kids too. To read more about this click here:

Bronx Zoo

If you can get over the price, the Bronx Zoo is always a win. We have a membership so go here often. We seem to have a completely different adventure each trip and they are all great! To read more about the zoo click here:

Battery Park City and Seaglass Carousel

I LOVE this carousel! This whole area of lower Manhattan has been rebuilt and it’s easy to spend a whole day down here. To read more click here:

Rent a Row Boat in Central Park

Central Park Zoo

Another one of my favorite places is Central Park’s zoo. The zoo is the perfect size for young families and has a really great children’s zoo just across the path from the main zoo. To read about this click here:

Ride a speedboat in the Hudson

Empire State Building

Again, this is touristy but on a gorgeous weekend like this the views will be phenomenal. Plus, it’s free for kids under 6. Be sure to bring quarters for the binoculars. To read more click here:
