SeaGlass Carousel – closest thing to riding a fish underwater
NYC with kids June 9, 2016 esteepouleris 0

My boyfriend and I took two happy four year olds down to battery park this week to do some exploring, and number one on the list was the SeaGlass Carousel!
My daughter and I rode this once last year and it really impressed me so I was looking forward to sharing the experience with my boyfriend. We paid $5 each, there was no line so we went straight in to pick which of the 30 glorious fish we wanted to ride. Some go up and down, others don’t, so be sure to ask the attendant if there’s a certain kind you want to ride. This gorgeous carousel is really an art installation you can ride. It played surreal music echoing as you float in circles. Seaglass is a surprisingly delightful experience. It’s so much more than a carousel, it’s like having a role in a performance! The only problem was getting my boyfriend to leave 🙂

Tips:
- $5 per person.
- 42″ to ride alone or else you have to ride on a lap.
- It’s covered so still runs in the rain.
- Plenty of stroller parking.
- Lots of fun stuff to explore with kids in this area.
- Do this!!!
